On the 16th November Computer Weekly reported the launch of the launch of Quad9, a domain name system (DNS) service aimed at protecting users from websites known to steal personal information, infect users with ransomware and malware, or conduct fraudulent activity, you can click on either hyper-link and read all about this project. This blog post is to raise awareness because at the UK Security Expo on the 29th & 30th November there was a presentation by the Global Cyber Alliance on this topic and of the circa 100 people in attendance, who were all there to hear about cyber security, only half a dozen of us put our hands up when asked if we had heard of this initiative.
It takes 30 seconds and can only have a positive effect on the security of your systems and networks.
