Hello, my name is Nick McLauchlan and I like to make things work, correctly. I started out as an aircraft electrician in the RAF where I learnt that taking shortcuts seldom ends well.
Since leaving the RAF over 15 years ago I have specialised in what used to be called industrial automation, which became systems integration but now its called operational technology – what ever you call it for me its all 5 levels of the Purdue model and how they work together safely and securely.
When I started this venture a number of people, previous clients, friends and family, asked me what OTSupport does, or more specifically what am I going to do to pay the mortgage? My belief is that there is a serious lack of focus on Cyber Security across all industrial sectors, having worked in pretty much every one I am confident in making that statement. On that basis I want to work with clients, old and new, to secure their assets by helping them identify the weaknesses in their processes, procedures, software and hardware.
