All websites are likely to be subject to periodic attacks, but a sustained attempt to compromise the blog site of an OT Security Specialist – sheesh, get a life.
Visitors to this site may have experienced failures to connect over the past few days due to a sustained DDoS attack. The good news is that Cloudflare have done a good job of mitigating the attacks, and through the wonders of logs we have a pretty good handle on where these attacks are coming from.
We are also tracking the repeated attempts to brute force accounts, one hopes its by an automated script because with I suspect it will take a while.
From a personal pespective I see this as a good thing – I guess my profile must be ‘getting up there’, maybe not in the same league as Brian Krebs but small steps………
